Volleyball
This series of volleyball clinics is open to both beginner and experienced players. Participants will play in a variety of drills to learn the sport, improve their technique, and build their confidence, teamwork abilities, and love of the game. We will work on serving, passing, setting, hitting, transition footwork, blocking, communication, rotations, and various plays. We will have drills that focus on specific skill building and will also engage in drills that simulate more general game play. Please dress in athletic attire and bring a water bottle. If you have a volleyball, please bring it.
Registration Deadline
- 10 days prior to the start of the program
- A $10.00 late fee applies to all registrations after the deadline
Instructor
- Aine Carey has been coaching for five years. She has worked with Pioneer Valley Juniors and the Frontier Regional teams and is excited to bring her skills to the Belchertown area! She has been playing volleyball for twelve years and won a State Championship as well as two Western Mass Championships at Frontier. Outside the gym, Aine is a junior Marketing and Design student at UMass Amherst.
- Sadie Salafia is a current officer on the Umass Women’s Volleyball Team that competes in highly competitive tournaments and practices year round. She has three years of high school club volleyball experience and was a varsity captain for North Andover her senior year. In the past, she has been a volunteer coach for the North Andover Booster Club Volleyball Program and has consistently worked with children throughout her career. Recently, she just finished up working as a supervisor for Andover’s Recreation Department in which she managed daily camp operations and ensured safety and engagement for campers.
