Instructional Soccer (Fall)
This instructional soccer program is designed to acquaint young boys and girls with the game of soccer, learning basic fundamentals such as kicking, passing, throw-ins, positioning and rules. A schedule is established only for the purpose of control. Standings will not be kept in this division. This league practices and plays games at the Swift River fields. This program is developed to assure that each player benefits from participation and has fun! This is an entry level program to introduce the very basics of the sport to girls and boys with the emphasis on fun. The season runs for approximately six weeks.
Volunteer coaches and assistants will be needed to run this program.
Kindergarten division, co-ed (must be attending kindergarten or must be 5 years of age before September 1st, 2026)
1st & 2nd grade girls division
1st & 2nd grade boys division.
All players registered before the deadline date will be placed on a team.
All non-residents may register between Aug. 16-Aug. 28.
We are looking for two coaches for the Boys division which may postpone the start of the program.
The kindergarten and Girls division should hear from a coach by Sat. Aug. 29.
The Belchertown Recreation policy states, once a player has been assigned to a team there will not be changes made. We understand children may not be able to attend practices due to other commitments however we can not take requests.
Registration Deadline
- Saturday, August 28, 2026
- A $10.00 late fee applies to all registrations after the deadline
- Non-residents register between 8.16-8/28.
