FALL FIELD HOCKEY GRADES K-8
Learn-to-Play: grades K-2
Learn the basics of field hockey in a relaxed environment perfect for beginners. Players at this level will be taught introductory core skills necessary to learn the sport, including basic game rules, stick grip/control, posture, and ball control. Practices will focus on teamwork, fair play, and most importantly, fun!
Coaches from the Bantam team will run these sessions, which will be held at Foley Field. Sticks are available for all players to use throughout each session, and the only required equipment at this level will be a mouth guard.
Bantam - grades 2-4
Junior - grades 5-6
Senior - grades 7-8
The fall recreational program is offered to boys and girls of all skill levels. During the season, coaches follow the American Development Model of USA Field Hockey and work with players to learn the sport while developing and challenging them as the season progresses! Players will develop game understanding and good sportsmanship through practice and game situations. Games run early September through the end of October, with a typical schedule including approximately 15 games. Home games and all practices are held at Foley Field, with away games held in nearby towns, including Agawam, Westfield, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, and Greenfield.

- Registration Deadline is 5 days prior to the start of the program.
- A $10.00 late fee applies to all registrations after the deadline.
- *Field hockey is played by both boys and girls around the world. This sport is actually dominated by men in every country but the U.S. We welcome all interested athletes!
