Yoga - Adults Register View Cart

Adult yoga class.
Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry 
Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation,
breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. Modifications and alternative poses will also be offered. Please bring your own yoga mats.

Ashtanga Inspired Yoga with CA
Ashtanga is an energetic yoga that focuses on synchronizing breath with movements, and building strength, flexibility and body awareness. Individual poses are presented in a sequence and are linked by flowing movements which will warm the body inviting deeper exploration of the practice. These sessions will begin with modifications accessible to all, and will build from there allowing each practitioner to explore their own expression of each posture.


Vinyasa with Brent
Vinyasa is one of the most common styles of yoga practiced in the West. Vinyasa is a term used to describe continuous or dynamic movements between yoga poses. This flow of movement is excellent for getting your heart rate going and working up a sweat. Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus.  Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks and water.  Some mats and blocks will be available.


Vinyasa with Amber
Join Amber for a rejuvenating Vinyasa Slow Flow class, the perfect way to unwind after a long workday. This class flows from one pose to the next, linking breath with movement to release tension, increase flexibility, and restore balance. Designed to calm the mind and energize the body, the sequences offer a gentle yet invigorating experience, helping you reconnect with your inner peace and strength. Let the calming rhythm of the flow guide you through a mindful practice that sets the tone for a restful evening. Come with an open mind, curiosity, and willingness to explore mind and body.

  • If Swift River School has early dismissal or is closed for the day, due to inclement weather, class will be cancelled for that evening.
  • If Swift River School has a delayed opening, class is held.




General Information
  • Sweat pants or pajama bottoms with a T-shirt work fine, no shoes required.
  • Participants are required to bring their own yoga mat and encouraged to bring their own blocks and straps.
  • Individuals age 16 and up are welcome to attend, please call the office.

Staff Information
  • •Kerry Ouimette is 200 E-RYT certified in addition to 100 hours of trauma informed certification with Mindful Yoga Therapy, and continued training in anatomy, asana, and yoga philosophy. Kerry has been teaching yoga for 20+ years. Kerry is also a Neuroscience and Behavior Lab Instructor who remains curious about the continuously evolving science that explores wellness and the mind/body connection.
  • CA McGowan is 500 Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She has been a yoga practitioner since the mid 1990’s, with a variety of styles including hatha, bikram, and kundalini. CA continues to study yoga, to include both contact hours (15 hour certification in Mindful Yoga; alignment training in Ashtanga Second Series), and non-contact hours to include studying anatomy and the yoga sutras.
  • Brent Walton has been teaching yoga since 2014 when he completed YTT 200 Hours at the University of Utah
  • In 2016 Brent completed YTT 100 Hours Level 1 at Salt Lake Power Yoga and YTT 100 Hours Level 2 at Salt Lake Power Yoga. In 2018 he completed Meditation Teacher Training 300 Hours at Shree, Mahesh Heritage Meditation School in Rishikesh, India. Brent is a Belchertown resident and owner of Liberty Woods.
  • Amber Carr Finding the stability and strength to embrace stillness while surrounded by movement is always a humbling challenge for Amber. She is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher with a background in vinyasa, yin, restorative, and meditation. She enjoys intertwining playfulness with mindfulness throughout practice to allow students to reflect on their flow with a new perspective. Amber is also an avid adventurer and traveler and is always exploring ways to intertwine yoga with outdoor activities.

Registration Deadline
  • 10 days prior to the start of the session
  • A 10.00 late fee will be applied to all registrations after the deadline.
  • If Swift River School has early dismissal or is closed for the day, due to inclement weather, class will be cancelled for that evening.
  • If Swift River School has a delayed opening, class is held.
  • The instructor will reschedule class due to inclement weather.
