Teen Girls Indoor Basketball Game
CYO Basketball
The Recreation Department may enroll teams in the competitive CYO Basketball League for the 3rd & 4th grade Divisions.
Teams will travel to towns such as, Ludlow, Chicopee, Agawam, Springfield, Hadley, Palmer and more. Teams will play approximately 12 regular season games with an end of the season tournament. Practices will begin in early November, a jamboree in mid November,  with games beginning in early December and will run into early March.

Players who would like to be considered for a CYO team will need to register and attend the CYO tryouts.  3rd/4th grade tryouts will be held at Jabish Brook Gym - Players must attend at least one of the two tryouts to be considered for this team.

Volunteer coaches will be selected after tryouts.  Please volunteer through the registration process.

3rd/4th Grade Girls Tryouts - Tuesday, November 4th from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m. and Wednesday, November 5th from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.

3rd/4th grade Boys Tryouts - Tuesday, November 4th from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. and Wednesday, November 5th from 7:00 -8:15 p.m. 

Registration is free to tryout. If an individual is selected for a CYO team the fee will be $140.00 and must be paid by Nov, 12, 2025.
Players must attend one out of the two days to be considered for a team.

There is no fee to tryout for these teams but you must complete the registration process and agree to all waivers. 

Any player not selected for a CYO team can register for Recreation Basketball in The Quabbin Valley Basketball League.

Parents will not be able to enter the gym for tryouts, they may wait in the lobby area.


QUABBIN RECREATIONAL Basketball
This program will assist participants with working on the fundamentals of the game including, dribbling passing, shooting & defense.   Practices will begin after Thanksgiving and games will start the first week in January with the season ending later in March.  3rd/4th grade divisions will have an end of the season jamboree. There will be some travel involved in this program to towns such as Monson, Palmer, Easthampton, Wilbraham, South Hadley, Granby & Northampton.

The Quabbin Valley Basketball League is a recreational basketball league designed to give children the chance to play basketball, learn various skills associated with the game, fair play, and sportsmanship.  Belchertown players are expected to receive equal playing time.

These programs are open to Boys and Girls in grades 3-4 who are residents of Belchertown/school choice students.
Everyone who is registered by the deadline date will be placed on a team. 
There will be an evaluation to determine a players skill level and assist with each players team placement. 

Registration deadline Saturday, Nov. 8

Evaluations for Belchertown players will be held at CHCS gym

Boys 3/4 grade, Monday, Nov. 10, 5:30pm
Girls 3/4 grade, Wednesday, Nov. 12, 5:30pm


 

Quabbin Valley League
  • Deadline: Saturday, Nov. 8
  • Registrations will be placed on a waiting list after the deadline date. If there is any availability on specific teams, you will be notified.
  • All participants are placed on a team if registered by the registration deadline.
  • There will be a $10.00 late fee after the deadline date
  • PLEASE NO SIBLINGS ATTENDING EVALUATIONS.
  • DO NOT BRING BASKETBALLS.
  • NO JEWELRY.
  • NO JEANS (Athletic wear; sneakers, nylon pants/shorts, sweat pants)
  • Please note: it is mandatory that ALL earrings be removed for games, this includes new postings.
  • Please do not schedule piercings during this season.

CYO
  • Anyone interested in coaching for a Belchertown team must complete the form on the registration.
