Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art used for centuries to relax the body and mind, improve balance and mental clarity, strengthen the body, increase stamina, decrease stress and enhance the overall quality of life.  It’s rhythmic movements establish a mind body connection that creates an overall sense of wellbeing similar to yoga.  It is good for people of all ages and physical levels.  It can be modified to suit the needs of an individual.  Tai Chi is a skill that will last a lifetime.  Masks are required.  Class size is limited to stay socially distanced. Advanced classes are for those who are familiar with Tai Chi and have some experience.

This program is designed to introduce children to the game of soccer. This is not a league; this program is all about fun! Focus will be on teaching children basic soccer skills, while playing age-appropriate games. The goal is to develop motor skills, coordination, creative thinking, positive interaction with other children, and an enjoyment for soccer.Sneakers or cleats may be worn. Shin guards are recommended but not mandatory. Please bring a water bottle.

Harmony Acres Personalized Dog TrainingSocialization/ obedience course, the dog should be about 5 mos. and under 2 years old. If you have not yet gone through my puppy private home training, we can catch them up in the first lesson.  They will learn the importance of participating in life manners and the basics of structure in public and basic skills of obedience. (Such as, sit, sit stay, auto sit, down, down stay, and auto down, the essence of heal, place, recall at 10 to 20 feet with distractions of the class watching them.)Tools needed will be a 4- or 5-foot leash, treats, a small fleece blanket for bedding, and a 20’ simple dog lead, NO RETRACTABLES Please. Young dog obedience/ handlers’ class, the dog should be at least 5 mos. old, and can be new to our training classes due to a new ownership, rescue, etc. This class will cover the basics of being a dog owner, for those that its been a while, a refresher is always good (whether it is the first time for our humans, or for the dog). We will be covering proper handling, dogs cycle development, and how they learn through movement, verbal communication, and body language. We will cover the importance of your dog learning how to engage with you, get the bond and respect to have a great relationship, along with the obedience basics of Sit, Down, Recall, Heal, and some other basic obedience and socialization skills that will benefit you in the new life with other dogs and humans.Tools needed will be a 4- or 5-foot leash, treats, a small fleece blanket for bedding, and a 20’ simple dog lead, NO RETRACTABLES Please. ..All the dogs will need proof of valid vaccinations, i.e. Parvo, Lepto/Lyme, and Rabies before participating in any group class.  ..Any dogs with a behavior/bite history, will need to be seen privately prior to attending a group session...If the dog comes into heat, or is intact at the time of the session, we will reschedule or discuss with the owners...I would also reserve the choice to disqualify a human or report a human for abuse, or neglect on any dog(s) attending classes with me.

Baton twirling is an excellent way of developing hand-eye coordination, rhythm, timing, endurance, self-discipline, and overall total body coordination. Classes involve all aspects of baton twirling from fundamental tricks to advanced competitive combinations. Experienced twirlers have the opportunity to join competitive teams. Baton Twirling is a sport that brings so many positives to our lives such as physical fitness, flexibility, friendship and so much more.   Tiny Tots - Classes are 30-minutes long for ages 3-5 years old and a great way for your kids to learn basic twirling skills, play games and most importantly have fun.  Intro to Twirling - Classes are 45-minutes long for ages 6 & up.  You will learn to spin, twirl and toss incorporating games in these exciting classes. Introduction to baton twirling will help children to develop eye hand coordination and learn tricks.    Competitive Twirlers - This program is for advanced twirlers who will continue to learn tricks and strengthen their skills.  Competitive Team twirlers will be assigned a scheduled time for group lessons.The instructor will contact Competitive Twirlers with specific class times.A Baton is needed and can be purchased from the instructor for a fee of $30.00Solo TwirlersExperienced baton twirlers who are interested in additional half hour individual lessons will be scheduled for solo classes on Sunday mornings.  The instructor will contact solo twirlers  with a specific time. At various levels of twirling, there is additional opportunity to perform and compete.

Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. Modifications and alternative poses will also be offered. Please bring your own yoga mats.Class is held in C Common Room at Swift River School. (looking at the building, on the right side.)Ashtanga Inspired Yoga with CAAshtanga is an energetic yoga that focuses on synchronizing breath with movements, and building strength, flexibility and body awareness. Individual poses are presented in a sequence and are linked by flowing movements which will warm the body inviting deeper exploration of the practice. These sessions will begin with modifications accessible to all, and will build from there allowing each practitioner to explore their own expression of each posture.Vinyasa with BrentVinyasa is one of the most common styles of yoga practiced in the West. Vinyasa is a term used to describe continuous or dynamic movements between yoga poses. This flow of movement is excellent for getting your heart rate going and working up a sweat. Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus.  Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks and water.  Some mats and blocks will be available. If Swift River School has early dismissal or is closed for the day, due to inclement weather, class will be cancelled for that evening. If Swift River School has a delayed opening, class is held.

The goal of this program is to get kids back outdoors while using their imagination and creativity to care for nature, create projects using simple materials, garden, and prepare no-cook foods. Gathering at the Swift River pavilion, we will do simple hands-on science projects, grow plants, follow no-cook recipes, craft, and learn basic skills to be prepared and resourceful. June - Make first aid kits and learn some basic first aid, make and use a compass, combine ingredients to make your own trail mix and energy bars, make solar oven s'mores, relax in a camping tent, work in the school garden, and cool off under the sprinkler. July - Craft miniature cabins with sticks, make an insect viewer, collect some insects from the school garden and inspect them with a magnifying glass. Make iced hot chocolate and learn the history behind the drink. Wear an ice cube necklace to beat the heat and cook up some sun tea in the sun. Make solar oven s'mores, relax in a camping tent, work in the school garden, and cool off under the sprinkler. August -  Make your own super bubble solution and see if you can stand in a bubble. Make twig and pinecone people, make and sail a twig raft,  and tie knots to make friendship bracelets with your new friends. Make solar oven s'mores, relax in a camping tent, work in the school garden, and cool off under the sprinkler. Pick up will be at the Swift River pavilion unless otherwise notified. Sessions will be held in the Swift River cafeteria during inclement weather.   Children will need a note from home to stay after school and gather in the pickup area.  Children are asked to bring a water bottle and snack.   Children will always need to be dressed and prepared for the outdoor weather. This three week preseason clinic is for current Stingrays Senior and Race Club swimmers. Please contact Coach Matt if you have a Junior who will be moving up and would like to join.   The preseason will cover technique development and endurance as well as an introduction to dry land work outs. Swimmers will be in the gym the first 45 minutes for dry lands, then move to the pool for the second half of the program. Appropriate work out attire is required.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art used for centuries to relax the body and mind, improve balance and mental clarity, strengthen the body, increase stamina, decrease stress and enhance the overall quality of life.  It’s rhythmic movements establish a mind body connection that creates an overall sense of wellbeing similar to yoga.  It is good for people of all ages and physical levels.  It can be modified to suit the needs of an individual.  Tai Chi is a skill that will last a lifetime.  Masks are required.  Class size is limited to stay socially distanced. Advanced classes are for those who are familiar with Tai Chi and have some experience.

If you have not yet gone through my puppy private home training, we can catch them up in the first lesson.  They will learn the importance of participating in life manners and the basics of structure in public and basic skills of obedience. (Such as, sit, sit stay, auto sit, down, down stay, and auto down, the essence of heal, place, recall at 10 to 20 feet with distractions of the class watching them.)Tools needed will be a 4- or 5-foot leash, treats, a small fleece blanket for bedding, and a 20’ simple dog lead, NO RETRACTABLES Please. Young dog obedience/ handlers’ class, the dog should be at least 5 mos. old, and can be new to our training classes due to a new ownership, rescue, etc. This class will cover the basics of being a dog owner, for those that its been a while, a refresher is always good (whether it is the first time for our humans, or for the dog). We will be covering proper handling, dogs cycle development, and how they learn through movement, verbal communication, and body language. We will cover the importance of your dog learning how to engage with you, get the bond and respect to have a great relationship, along with the obedience basics of Sit, Down, Recall, Heal, and some other basic obedience and socialization skills that will benefit you in the new life with other dogs and humans.Tools needed will be a 4- or 5-foot leash, treats, a small fleece blanket for bedding, and a 20’ simple dog lead, NO RETRACTABLES Please. ..All the dogs will need proof of valid vaccinations, i.e. Parvo, Lepto/Lyme, and Rabies before participating in any group class.  ..Any dogs with a behavior/bite history, will need to be seen privately prior to attending a group session...If the dog comes into heat, or is intact at the time of the session, we will reschedule or discuss with the owners...I would also reserve the choice to disqualify a human or report a human for abuse, or neglect on any dog(s) attending classes with me.

Experienced twirlers have the opportunity to join competitive teams. Baton Twirling is a sport that brings so many positives to our lives such as physical fitness, flexibility, friendship and so much more.   Tiny Tots - Classes are 30-minutes long for ages 3-5 years old and a great way for your kids to learn basic twirling skills, play games and most importantly have fun.  Intro to Twirling - Classes are 45-minutes long for ages 6 & up.  You will learn to spin, twirl and toss incorporating games in these exciting classes. Introduction to baton twirling will help children to develop eye hand coordination and learn tricks.    Competitive Twirlers - This program is for advanced twirlers who will continue to learn tricks and strengthen their skills.  Competitive Team twirlers will be assigned a scheduled time for group lessons.The instructor will contact Competitive Twirlers with specific class times.A Baton is needed and can be purchased from the instructor for a fee of $30.00Solo TwirlersExperienced baton twirlers who are interested in additional half hour individual lessons will be scheduled for solo classes on Sunday mornings.  The instructor will contact solo twirlers  with a specific time. Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. During this class participants will be introduced to basic rules, fundamentals of strokes, court positioning, and score keeping.    Level 1 - Beginner The beginner class will focus on basics of the game. We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. The Belchertown Running Club is designed for the beginner runners with no prior experience needed.  This program offers  proper stretching and breathing techniques to safely run at the beginner level. Everyone will need to come to practice with comfortable attire, sneakers, and a water bottle.This program will be held outdoors rain or shine at the  Chestnut Hill/Swift River School area.  Depending on in climate weather, makeup dates may be held on Saturdays or Sunday.Children will need a note from home to stay after school and gather in the school pickup area where the instructor will be located.  Parent pick up will be at the Swift River pavilion unless otherwise notified.   School nurse/school staff are not present for this after school program.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art used for centuries to relax the body and mind, improve balance and mental clarity, strengthen the body, increase stamina, decrease stress and enhance the overall quality of life.  It’s rhythmic movements establish a mind body connection that creates an overall sense of wellbeing similar to yoga.  It is good for people of all ages and physical levels.  It can be modified to suit the needs of an individual.  Tai Chi is a skill that will last a lifetime.  Masks are required.  Class size is limited to stay socially distanced. Advanced classes are for those who are familiar with Tai Chi and have some experience.

We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. Grades 4-6 Join us for after school arts! We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. The goal is to encourage an opportunities for creative expression and learning. All materials will be provided. Grades 1-3 Join us for after school arts! We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. The goal is to encourage an opportunities for creative expression and learning. All materials will be provided. Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials and techniques. We  will experiment with painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and collage!   July 1-5 (No July 4th) - The summer Tinker Arts group will explore working with different fiber materials to make beautiful summer themed projects! We'll use different materials like wool, silk and cotton to make our projects for the week!

Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn and play, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.  Sneakers are required. Players registering for the first time are asked to register for the intro class.Introduction to PickleballThis four-week class is for those new to the game or for those who want more experience before moving onto the Beginner class. During this class participants will be introduced to basic rules, fundamentals of strokes, court positioning, and score keeping.    Level 1 - Beginner The beginner class will focus on basics of the game. We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. We'll use different materials like wool, silk and cotton to make our projects for the week!

Pickle ball is a paddle sport played on a badminton-sized court and can be described as a cross between tennis and ping-pong. It can be played as doubles or singles. This workshop will help to increase balance, flexibility, range of motion and just get moving.Please wear comfortable, loose clothing and light comfortable shoes. Participants are expected to bring their own (thin) yoga mat, some will be provided, and bring a water bottle.This fitness class is appropriate for all adults.

8:30 AM - 9:30 AM    Yoga - Adults - Yoga Friday mornings with Brent - Spring
Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. Modifications and alternative poses will also be offered. Please bring your own yoga mats.Class is held in C Common Room at Swift River School. (looking at the building, on the right side.)Ashtanga Inspired Yoga with CAAshtanga is an energetic yoga that focuses on synchronizing breath with movements, and building strength, flexibility and body awareness. Individual poses are presented in a sequence and are linked by flowing movements which will warm the body inviting deeper exploration of the practice. These sessions will begin with modifications accessible to all, and will build from there allowing each practitioner to explore their own expression of each posture.Vinyasa with BrentVinyasa is one of the most common styles of yoga practiced in the West. Vinyasa is a term used to describe continuous or dynamic movements between yoga poses. This flow of movement is excellent for getting your heart rate going and working up a sweat. Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus.  Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks and water.  Some mats and blocks will be available. If Swift River School has early dismissal or is closed for the day, due to inclement weather, class will be cancelled for that evening. If Swift River School has a delayed opening, class is held.
 
3:30 PM - 4:45 PM    Belchertown Running Club - Belchertown Running Club
The Belchertown Running Club is designed for the beginner runners with no prior experience needed.  This program offers  proper stretching and breathing techniques to safely run at the beginner level. Everyone will need to come to practice with comfortable attire, sneakers, and a water bottle.This program will be held outdoors rain or shine at the  Chestnut Hill/Swift River School area.  Depending on in climate weather, makeup dates may be held on Saturdays or Sunday.Children will need a note from home to stay after school and gather in the school pickup area where the instructor will be located.  Parent pick up will be at the Swift River pavilion unless otherwise notified.   School nurse/school staff are not present for this after school program.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art used for centuries to relax the body and mind, improve balance and mental clarity, strengthen the body, increase stamina, decrease stress and enhance the overall quality of life.  It’s rhythmic movements establish a mind body connection that creates an overall sense of wellbeing similar to yoga.  It is good for people of all ages and physical levels.  It can be modified to suit the needs of an individual.  Tai Chi is a skill that will last a lifetime.  Masks are required.  Class size is limited to stay socially distanced. Advanced classes are for those who are familiar with Tai Chi and have some experience.

Grades - Kindergarten  Come join the fun process based art as we explore and work with a va4riety of materials such as paint, crayon, paper, cardboard and clay.  Our focus will be on the process and the creative experien e while building fundamental skills. Grades 1-3 Join us for after school arts! We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. Grades 4-6 Join us for after school arts! We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. The goal is to encourage an opportunities for creative expression and learning. All materials will be provided. Please bring an allergen friendly snack and water bottle.*Participants will need to bring a note to school to stay after.*The school will dismiss participants and allow them to go to the Cafeteria or directly to the classroom.*If School has early dismissal due to inclement weather, class will be canceled for that afternoon and the instructor will reschedule.*School nurse/school staff are not present for this after school program.  Our Saturday Summer Tinker Arts group will do a little bit of everything! Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials and techniques. We  will experiment with painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and collage!   July 1-5 (No July 4th) - The summer Tinker Arts group will explore working with different fiber materials to make beautiful summer themed projects! We'll use different materials like wool, silk and cotton to make our projects for the week!
