Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. Modifications and alternative poses will also be offered. Please bring your own yoga mats.Class is held in C Common Room at Swift River School. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art used for centuries to relax the body and mind, improve balance and mental clarity, strengthen the body, increase stamina, decrease stress and enhance the overall quality of life.  It’s rhythmic movements establish a mind body connection that creates an overall sense of wellbeing similar to yoga.  It is good for people of all ages and physical levels.  It can be modified to suit the needs of an individual.  Tai Chi is a skill that will last a lifetime.  Advanced classes are for those who are familiar with Tai Chi and have some experience.

Grades - Kindergarten  Come join the fun process based art as we explore and work with a variety of materials such as paint, crayon, paper, cardboard and clay.  Our focus will be on the process and the creative experien e while building fundamental skills. Grades 1-3 Join us for after school arts! We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. Grades 4-6 (age 8-10)Join us for after school arts! We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. The goal is to encourage an opportunities for creative expression and learning. All materials will be provided. Please bring an allergen friendly snack and water bottle.*Participants will need to bring a note to school to stay after.*The school will dismiss participants and allow them to go to the Cafeteria or directly to the classroom.*If School has early dismissal due to inclement weather, class will be canceled for that afternoon and the instructor will reschedule.*School nurse/school staff are not present for this after school program. Summer - Preschool This art program is designed to introduce preschoolers to the fun world of art.  We will use such materials as paint, crayons, paper, cardboard and clay.  Come and play with art. Each day your child will create a new materpiece to take home.  Participants must bring an old t-shirt or smock.  All other supplies are provided. Our Saturday Summer Tinker Arts group will do a little bit of everything! Students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials and techniques. We  will experiment with painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and collage!   July 1-5 (No July 4th) - The summer Tinker Arts group will explore working with different fiber materials to make beautiful summer themed projects! We'll use different materials like wool, silk and cotton to make our projects for the week!

We'll be practicing our skills and knowledge of the elements of arts and design.  We'll explore and look at works of art from different types of artists and will create our own.  This class is meant to promote creativity and practice skill building in a fun and relaxed environment. We  will experiment with painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and collage!   July 1-5 (No July 4th) - The summer Tinker Arts group will explore working with different fiber materials to make beautiful summer themed projects! We'll use different materials like wool, silk and cotton to make our projects for the week!
