These sessions will begin with modifications accessible to all, and will build from there allowing each practitioner to explore their own expression of each posture.Vinyasa with BrentVinyasa is one of the most common styles of yoga practiced in the West. Vinyasa is a term used to describe continuous or dynamic movements between yoga poses. This flow of movement is excellent for getting your heart rate going and working up a sweat. Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus.  Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks and water.  Some mats and blocks will be available. If Swift River School has early dismissal or is closed for the day, due to inclement weather, class will be cancelled for that evening. If Swift River School has a delayed opening, class is held. 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Dog Training - Behavior Modification Class
Harmony Acres Personalized Dog Training Basics of Obedience and Socialization It will cover a Walking Focus, Sit, Down, Heel, Park, Place and Recall. All of these are basic commands used in your home, as well as on your daily walks and everyday adventures. They will be instructed in proximity to others as well as with your area of your training. You will also be instructed to becoming a great handler/leader for gaining your dogs’ performance and social abilities. Handling your dog with confidence and leadership is an important skill to have a great bond with your dog.  Your dog to be at least 20 weeks of age. It would be good if the dog has had some exposure to other dogs within an area, not necessarily a play group, and had some leash experience. At the end of this five-week class, we will be expected to be able to perform these abilities with your dog in both a large room, and as well as outside with moderate distractions. Looking forward to seeing you and your dog advancing your skills as you develop your bond together. You will be needing a 4’ and a 15’ lead (no retractable leashes please) and great treats that are super scented and desired for great learning.  To receive the Certificate of completion at the end of this class, you will need to attend 5 out of 6 classes, with the last class being a strut your stuff review to receive your certificate.    Scent Work:  Beginning to use your dog's Nose This 7-week class will be to introduce scent work. The first three weeks will cover the Art of Odor Detection, and the Last three weeks will be Teaching your dog to Search and Find the scent of a human. The dogs will learn the basics of finding a scented odor and humans for a reward.  Teaching a dog scent work increases the dogs focus on the handler as well as focusing on finding the scent. Dogs need to be vaccinated with no age limits. This class is the first of many for those who would like to pursue the opportunity of either Scent Detection, or Search and Find. It is with the goal to have multiple dogs that can do one of these tasks or both can be taught.  This class is 6 weeks long, and there is no age or breed restriction. Every dog has a nose and Let's get sniffing. At the end of the class, the 7th week, your dogs will be able to show off what they have learned and receive a Certificate of Completion.    Behavior Modification Class Does your dog have a jumping problem? Do they get super excited when they see a human or another dog? Does your dong Guard items? Do they show their teeth, or bark at you? Does your dog look at you and walk away when you talk to it?? This class is for you. It is a two-hour class for 5 weeks that will help you to strengthen your relationship with your dog and become the handler your dog is requesting you to be. Requirements are: Your dog needs to be fully vaccinated, and to have its human to be totally open minded and willing to build the structure and boundaries that your dog and human relationship needs. Your dog might need to be crate trained during the class, but not always required.  This class is a positive based program for you and your dog. At the end of the class, your dog should be able to Walk on a leash passing other dogs and humans, stay in a down and be in proximity of other dogs in a room.  Young dog obedience/ handlers’ class, the dog should be at least 5 mos. old, and can be new to our training classes due to a new ownership, rescue, etc. This class will cover the basics of being a dog owner, for those that its been a while, a refresher is always good (whether it is the first time for our humans, or for the dog).  We will be covering proper handling, dogs cycle development, and how they learn through movement, verbal communication, and body language. We will cover the importance of your dog learning how to engage with you, get the bond and respect to have a great relationship, along with the obedience basics of Sit, Down, Recall, Heal, and some other basic obedience and socialization skills that will benefit you in the new life with other dogs and humans.Tools needed will be a 4- or 5-foot leash, treats, a small fleece blanket for bedding, and a 20’ simple dog lead, NO RETRACTABLES Please.  Canine Good Citizen renew This class is open to you if you have not completed or was unsuccessful in completing.  AKC Canine Good Citizen course is a certificated course that at the end of this course, your dog is certified through the American Kennel Club as a good citizen and will receive a certificate as well as a badge for its harness or your jacket,  to sport the efforts of being a good citizen.  The tasks taught will be:  Accepting a friendly stranger; Sitting politely for pets; Appearance and grooming; Out for a walk; Walking through a crowd; Sit and down on cue and staying in place; Recall; Reaction to another dog; Reaction to noises and distractions; and Supervised separation.  This course will be 5 weeks long, and on the 6th week there will be an evaluation by a certified evaluator to sign your certification of completion upon successful completion.  Your dog must be at least 6 months of age.  Your dog should be good on a leash, and able to be in a room with several other dogs and humans. You will need a 10’ leash and a 4’ to 5’ leash also, no retractable leashes please. Once this course is successfully completed, a certificate will be rewarded and the option to continue to the three other levels of AKC CGC will be offered to you to further your dogs’ abilities to perform at other levels of being a Canine Good Citizen.  ..All the dogs will need proof of valid vaccinations, i.e. Parvo, Lepto/Lyme, and Rabies before participating in any group class.  ..Any dogs with a behavior/bite history, will need to be seen privately prior to attending a group session...If the dog comes into heat, or is intact at the time of the session, we will reschedule or discuss with the owners...I would also reserve the choice to disqualify a human or report a human for abuse, or neglect on any dog(s) attending classes with me.

Music is a family affair and we welcome all siblings to register.  Early music experiences pave the way for a lifetime of joyful music making. Come join the party, we can’t wait to play!

Learn how to play a West-African drum.  This four week program will offer some history and explanation of of the drums along with the technique on how to make the basic sounds on the drum.  We will work on basic rhythms and classes will be taught building from one basic rhythm and adding parts to make a poly rhythmic whole. Participants will work together on correct sound production of the tones on the drum playing one part of the rhythm and playing with one another as a unit.  It’s an energizing and just plain fun experience to have.  It involves using listening, feeling and a different form of thought process.

Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. Harmony Acres Personalized Dog Training Basics of Obedience and Socialization It will cover a Walking Focus, Sit, Down, Heel, Park, Place and Recall. All of these are basic commands used in your home, as well as on your daily walks and everyday adventures. They will be instructed in proximity to others as well as with your area of your training. You will also be instructed to becoming a great handler/leader for gaining your dogs’ performance and social abilities. Handling your dog with confidence and leadership is an important skill to have a great bond with your dog.  Your dog to be at least 20 weeks of age. It would be good if the dog has had some exposure to other dogs within an area, not necessarily a play group, and had some leash experience. At the end of this five-week class, we will be expected to be able to perform these abilities with your dog in both a large room, and as well as outside with moderate distractions. Looking forward to seeing you and your dog advancing your skills as you develop your bond together. You will be needing a 4’ and a 15’ lead (no retractable leashes please) and great treats that are super scented and desired for great learning.  To receive the Certificate of completion at the end of this class, you will need to attend 5 out of 6 classes, with the last class being a strut your stuff review to receive your certificate.    Scent Work:  Beginning to use your dog's Nose This 7-week class will be to introduce scent work. The first three weeks will cover the Art of Odor Detection, and the Last three weeks will be Teaching your dog to Search and Find the scent of a human. The dogs will learn the basics of finding a scented odor and humans for a reward.  Teaching a dog scent work increases the dogs focus on the handler as well as focusing on finding the scent. Dogs need to be vaccinated with no age limits. This class is the first of many for those who would like to pursue the opportunity of either Scent Detection, or Search and Find. It is with the goal to have multiple dogs that can do one of these tasks or both can be taught.  This class is 6 weeks long, and there is no age or breed restriction. Every dog has a nose and Let's get sniffing. At the end of the class, the 7th week, your dogs will be able to show off what they have learned and receive a Certificate of Completion.    Behavior Modification Class Does your dog have a jumping problem? Do they get super excited when they see a human or another dog? Does your dong Guard items? Do they show their teeth, or bark at you? Does your dog look at you and walk away when you talk to it?? This class is for you. It is a two-hour class for 5 weeks that will help you to strengthen your relationship with your dog and become the handler your dog is requesting you to be. Requirements are: Your dog needs to be fully vaccinated, and to have its human to be totally open minded and willing to build the structure and boundaries that your dog and human relationship needs. Your dog might need to be crate trained during the class, but not always required.  This class is a positive based program for you and your dog. At the end of the class, your dog should be able to Walk on a leash passing other dogs and humans, stay in a down and be in proximity of other dogs in a room.  Young dog obedience/ handlers’ class, the dog should be at least 5 mos. old, and can be new to our training classes due to a new ownership, rescue, etc. This class will cover the basics of being a dog owner, for those that its been a while, a refresher is always good (whether it is the first time for our humans, or for the dog).  We will be covering proper handling, dogs cycle development, and how they learn through movement, verbal communication, and body language. We will cover the importance of your dog learning how to engage with you, get the bond and respect to have a great relationship, along with the obedience basics of Sit, Down, Recall, Heal, and some other basic obedience and socialization skills that will benefit you in the new life with other dogs and humans.Tools needed will be a 4- or 5-foot leash, treats, a small fleece blanket for bedding, and a 20’ simple dog lead, NO RETRACTABLES Please.  Canine Good Citizen renew This class is open to you if you have not completed or was unsuccessful in completing.  AKC Canine Good Citizen course is a certificated course that at the end of this course, your dog is certified through the American Kennel Club as a good citizen and will receive a certificate as well as a badge for its harness or your jacket,  to sport the efforts of being a good citizen.  The tasks taught will be:  Accepting a friendly stranger; Sitting politely for pets; Appearance and grooming; Out for a walk; Walking through a crowd; Sit and down on cue and staying in place; Recall; Reaction to another dog; Reaction to noises and distractions; and Supervised separation.  This course will be 5 weeks long, and on the 6th week there will be an evaluation by a certified evaluator to sign your certification of completion upon successful completion.  Your dog must be at least 6 months of age.  Your dog should be good on a leash, and able to be in a room with several other dogs and humans. You will need a 10’ leash and a 4’ to 5’ leash also, no retractable leashes please. Once this course is successfully completed, a certificate will be rewarded and the option to continue to the three other levels of AKC CGC will be offered to you to further your dogs’ abilities to perform at other levels of being a Canine Good Citizen.  ..All the dogs will need proof of valid vaccinations, i.e. Parvo, Lepto/Lyme, and Rabies before participating in any group class.  ..Any dogs with a behavior/bite history, will need to be seen privately prior to attending a group session...If the dog comes into heat, or is intact at the time of the session, we will reschedule or discuss with the owners...I would also reserve the choice to disqualify a human or report a human for abuse, or neglect on any dog(s) attending classes with me.

Children will experience a variety of instruments, learn to use their singing voice, practice beat through games and movement, and engage in happy interactions with their caregivers and one another. Music is a family affair and we welcome all siblings to register.  Early music experiences pave the way for a lifetime of joyful music making. Come join the party, we can’t wait to play! 
 
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM    West African Drumming - Fall 2025
Learn how to play a West-African drum.  This four week program will offer some history and explanation of of the drums along with the technique on how to make the basic sounds on the drum.  We will work on basic rhythms and classes will be taught building from one basic rhythm and adding parts to make a poly rhythmic whole. Participants will work together on correct sound production of the tones on the drum playing one part of the rhythm and playing with one another as a unit.  It’s an energizing and just plain fun experience to have.  It involves using listening, feeling and a different form of thought process.
