Chestnut Hill Pool is a 6-lane indoor facility, located at Chestnut Hill Community School on Route 202 (59 State Street), is available for use by residents and non-residents year round and is staffed with certified American Red Cross lifeguards during all programs. This facility is handicap accessible, offering entry stairs, as well as a hydraulic lift. The facility offers locker rooms with showers, lockers (must provide your own lock), exercise belts, as well as pace clocks for lap swimmers and life jackets.
Pool Rules: No Running No Persons with a Communicable Disease can enter the pool All patrons must shower before entering the pool No Glass bottles or containers Area must be clear when jumping No hanging on one another/horseplay No piggy backs or hanging onto someone’s neck No holding breath contests No snorkels or goggles that cover the nose (only allowed during lap swim) No Fins (only allowed at lap swim) No hanging on ropes No playing on ladder or stairs No chicken fights No throwing each other/children No inflatables All lifejackets must be coastguard approved All swimmers under 16 must pass a swim test in order to swim in the deep end. Toys must be used as intended, no tying together
Lap Swim Etiquette:
- Pick an empty lane first
- Enter from the ends of the lanes
- All lanes must be shared
- Reserving a lane is prohibited, all lanes are first come - first serve
- Choose a lane according to your skill level when sharing
- Ask before entering into a lane with someone
- Discuss with lane partner whether to circle swim or stick to one side of lane
- More than two patrons in a lane must circle swim
- Give other swimmers space
- Don’t push off right before a swimmer turns
- Tap to pass
- Yield to faster swimmers
- Never stop in the middle of the lane
- Rest in the corners
- Be very careful when wearing hand paddles and fins
- Keep talking to a low volume
- If swimming and chatting, share one lane
- Please return all borrowed equipment
- Be kind to others

Monthly schedules are available below, on the home page, and for viewing at the pool. The schedule times will vary while the Stingrays & Varsity Swim Teams are in season. Schedule and fees subject to change without notice. Snow day policy: Pool is closed when Belchertown Public school is cancelled due to weather. Pool opens at 11:00a.m. for two hour delays, all morning programs cancelled. The pool closures due to inclement weather will be announced on the home page. ADULT/YOUTH LAP SWIM - Lap swim is now taking memberships and daily rates. Lap swim is on a first come, first serve basis. Swimmers must share lanes. Equipment is available for use. Swimmers may bring their own equipment. Updated lap swim schedules will be posted on this page as well as at the pool.
*An adult must be present with anyone under the age of 13. Lap swim etiquette must be maintained at all times.

MORNING AQUANASTIC PROGRAM (Adults 18+) - (Currently running) Come join our group for some exercise in the water with good company! Memberships will be scanned at the door. Daily Rate is cash only. *There are no longer lap lanes during this program |
