10:00 AM - 10:25 PM    Summer D.A.Y.S. (Daytime Activities and Youth Sports) - 2025 - Week 3 - Swim Lessons
Choose a week or many and relax while your children will enjoy a well supervised, friendly atmosphere, where participants enjoy every Tuesday at the Town Beach (weather permitting) and will include a lunch.  Every week experience a field trip. Every Monday morning there will be a swim test to determine children's skill level for afternoon free swim every Monday/Wednesday & Friday at the pool. Swim Lessons will be offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays for an additional fee for Weeks 3-7. Participants will pass the days away playing games, visit the local playground, participate in daily crafts or playing structured sports. Space is limited. NO registrations are complete until the Field Trip & Medical Form listed below under links is printed, completed, signed and on file at the recreation department office. The form may be brought in during our office hours, mailed or dropped off thru our drop slot located on our side door. Swimmers must attend at least 4 swim meets to qualify for Championships.Race Club is a group for swimmers with higher level competitive goals: reaching A standard or higher USA swimming times, swimming competitively at High School Level, or have aspirations of Division 3 College swimming. Can follow directions but often need understanding and encouragement. Level 2 - Primary Skills Children are beyond “water adjustment”, they are comfortable in the water and may be swimming 4 or 5 feet without floatation. Will learn to reach & pull, put their face in the water, float and propel themselves through the water on their backs and stomachs. Level 3 – Stroke Readiness Children swim and float and are comfortable on top of and under water, they are ready to learn proper breathing technique (rotary breathing) and learn basic strokes such as front crawl, back crawl and begin elementary back stroke. Level 4 - Stroke Development Children are prepared to refine the basic skills they were taught in Level 3 and are introduced to more sophisticated skills such as breast stroke and standing dives.Level 5 - Stroke Refinement Children are ready to build up endurance and refine strokes and skills taught in level 4. They will learn skills such as Butterfly, flip-turns, and competitive starts.

6:15 PM - 6:40 PM    Mommy/Daddy & Me Swim Lessons - July Mommy/Daddy & Me - Session 1
There will be swim lessons offered in June, July and August. They will be posted on the first of each month. Thank you.This fun program is a wonderful way to bond with your baby/toddler and introduces basic water skills to help your child feel more comfortable in water.  Exposing your child to the water early allows them to progress quickly as they mature and develop physically. These lessons are enjoyable, stress-free, educational and a good source of exercise for children and parents.Lifeguards are always on the pool deck during swim classes and an instructor will be teaching the classes.  Children must wear a swim diaper and parents must accompany the child in the water.Class are held at the same time as group swim lessons.The class is limited to 8 participants and their parents.

Are you ready to reclaim your health in the pool?  Do you want to build a relationship with a sport you can do into your later years? The Silver Rays are Belchertown’s first adult swim team! The team will focus on training and endurance with the possibility of collaborative fun meets as the team grows.  This is an 18+ team that meets three times a week to engage in interval based training that will guarantee to get the heart rate up and hopefully become the inspiration in your new found health. As members of the Silver Rays you WILL start your day motivated and challenged to meet your health goals.  Whether training for your next big triathlon or swimming your first laps in the pool all adult ages are welcome! There is a progressively skilled lane for everyone and drop ins are welcome. Drop in price is $12.00 per day. Come and join other like-minded people wanting to build a foundation of health around swimming. Local educator, outdoor enthusiast, and life-long swimmer Geoffrey Gould will cater workouts to your skill and strength level.  Coach Gould will help you focus on technique as well.    Come be the first Belchertown Silver Rays!The Month of May is discounted since the month will be shorter due to scheduled maintenance. Regular monthly fees will be $80.00/resident and $90.00/non-resident.

Thank you.This fun program is a wonderful way to bond with your baby/toddler and introduces basic water skills to help your child feel more comfortable in water.  Exposing your child to the water early allows them to progress quickly as they mature and develop physically. These lessons are enjoyable, stress-free, educational and a good source of exercise for children and parents.Lifeguards are always on the pool deck during swim classes and an instructor will be teaching the classes.  Children must wear a swim diaper and parents must accompany the child in the water.Class are held at the same time as group swim lessons.The class is limited to 8 participants and their parents.

Are you ready to reclaim your health in the pool?  Do you want to build a relationship with a sport you can do into your later years? The Silver Rays are Belchertown’s first adult swim team! The team will focus on training and endurance with the possibility of collaborative fun meets as the team grows.  This is an 18+ team that meets three times a week to engage in interval based training that will guarantee to get the heart rate up and hopefully become the inspiration in your new found health. As members of the Silver Rays you WILL start your day motivated and challenged to meet your health goals.  Whether training for your next big triathlon or swimming your first laps in the pool all adult ages are welcome! There is a progressively skilled lane for everyone and drop ins are welcome. Drop in price is $12.00 per day. Come and join other like-minded people wanting to build a foundation of health around swimming. Local educator, outdoor enthusiast, and life-long swimmer Geoffrey Gould will cater workouts to your skill and strength level.  Coach Gould will help you focus on technique as well.    Come be the first Belchertown Silver Rays!The Month of May is discounted since the month will be shorter due to scheduled maintenance. Choose a week or many and relax while your children will enjoy a well supervised, friendly atmosphere, where participants enjoy every Tuesday at the Town Beach (weather permitting) and will include a lunch.  Every week experience a field trip. Every Monday morning there will be a swim test to determine children's skill level for afternoon free swim every Monday/Wednesday & Friday at the pool. Swim Lessons will be offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays for an additional fee for Weeks 3-7. Participants will pass the days away playing games, visit the local playground, participate in daily crafts or playing structured sports. Space is limited. NO registrations are complete until the Field Trip & Medical Form listed below under links is printed, completed, signed and on file at the recreation department office. The form may be brought in during our office hours, mailed or dropped off thru our drop slot located on our side door. Choose a week or many and relax while your children will enjoy a well supervised, friendly atmosphere, where participants enjoy every Tuesday at the Town Beach (weather permitting) and will include a lunch.  Every week experience a field trip. Every Monday morning there will be a swim test to determine children's skill level for afternoon free swim every Monday/Wednesday & Friday at the pool. Swim Lessons will be offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays for an additional fee for Weeks 3-7. Participants will pass the days away playing games, visit the local playground, participate in daily crafts or playing structured sports. Are you ready to reclaim your health in the pool?  Do you want to build a relationship with a sport you can do into your later years? The Silver Rays are Belchertown’s first adult swim team! The team will focus on training and endurance with the possibility of collaborative fun meets as the team grows.  This is an 18+ team that meets three times a week to engage in interval based training that will guarantee to get the heart rate up and hopefully become the inspiration in your new found health. As members of the Silver Rays you WILL start your day motivated and challenged to meet your health goals.  Whether training for your next big triathlon or swimming your first laps in the pool all adult ages are welcome! There is a progressively skilled lane for everyone and drop ins are welcome. Drop in price is $12.00 per day. Come and join other like-minded people wanting to build a foundation of health around swimming. Local educator, outdoor enthusiast, and life-long swimmer Geoffrey Gould will cater workouts to your skill and strength level.  Coach Gould will help you focus on technique as well.    Come be the first Belchertown Silver Rays!The Month of May is discounted since the month will be shorter due to scheduled maintenance. Regular monthly fees will be $80.00/resident and $90.00/non-resident.

10:00 AM - 10:25 PM    Summer D.A.Y.S. (Daytime Activities and Youth Sports) - 2025 - Week 6 - Swim Lessons
Choose a week or many and relax while your children will enjoy a well supervised, friendly atmosphere, where participants enjoy every Tuesday at the Town Beach (weather permitting) and will include a lunch.  Every week experience a field trip. Every Monday morning there will be a swim test to determine children's skill level for afternoon free swim every Monday/Wednesday & Friday at the pool. Swim Lessons will be offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays for an additional fee for Weeks 3-7. Participants will pass the days away playing games, visit the local playground, participate in daily crafts or playing structured sports. Space is limited. NO registrations are complete until the Field Trip & Medical Form listed below under links is printed, completed, signed and on file at the recreation department office. The form may be brought in during our office hours, mailed or dropped off thru our drop slot located on our side door. There will be swim lessons offered in June, July and August. They will be posted on the first of each month. Thank you.This fun program is a wonderful way to bond with your baby/toddler and introduces basic water skills to help your child feel more comfortable in water.  Exposing your child to the water early allows them to progress quickly as they mature and develop physically. These lessons are enjoyable, stress-free, educational and a good source of exercise for children and parents.Lifeguards are always on the pool deck during swim classes and an instructor will be teaching the classes.  Children must wear a swim diaper and parents must accompany the child in the water.Class are held at the same time as group swim lessons.The class is limited to 8 participants and their parents.

Thank you.This fun program is a wonderful way to bond with your baby/toddler and introduces basic water skills to help your child feel more comfortable in water.  Exposing your child to the water early allows them to progress quickly as they mature and develop physically. These lessons are enjoyable, stress-free, educational and a good source of exercise for children and parents.Lifeguards are always on the pool deck during swim classes and an instructor will be teaching the classes.  Children must wear a swim diaper and parents must accompany the child in the water.Class are held at the same time as group swim lessons.The class is limited to 8 participants and their parents.

Are you ready to reclaim your health in the pool?  Do you want to build a relationship with a sport you can do into your later years? The Silver Rays are Belchertown’s first adult swim team! The team will focus on training and endurance with the possibility of collaborative fun meets as the team grows.  This is an 18+ team that meets three times a week to engage in interval based training that will guarantee to get the heart rate up and hopefully become the inspiration in your new found health. As members of the Silver Rays you WILL start your day motivated and challenged to meet your health goals.  Whether training for your next big triathlon or swimming your first laps in the pool all adult ages are welcome! There is a progressively skilled lane for everyone and drop ins are welcome. Drop in price is $12.00 per day. Come and join other like-minded people wanting to build a foundation of health around swimming. Local educator, outdoor enthusiast, and life-long swimmer Geoffrey Gould will cater workouts to your skill and strength level.  Coach Gould will help you focus on technique as well.    Come be the first Belchertown Silver Rays!The Month of May is discounted since the month will be shorter due to scheduled maintenance. Choose a week or many and relax while your children will enjoy a well supervised, friendly atmosphere, where participants enjoy every Tuesday at the Town Beach (weather permitting) and will include a lunch.  Every week experience a field trip. Every Monday morning there will be a swim test to determine children's skill level for afternoon free swim every Monday/Wednesday & Friday at the pool. Swim Lessons will be offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays for an additional fee for Weeks 3-7. Participants will pass the days away playing games, visit the local playground, participate in daily crafts or playing structured sports. Space is limited. NO registrations are complete until the Field Trip & Medical Form listed below under links is printed, completed, signed and on file at the recreation department office. The form may be brought in during our office hours, mailed or dropped off thru our drop slot located on our side door. Thank you.This fun program is a wonderful way to bond with your baby/toddler and introduces basic water skills to help your child feel more comfortable in water.  Exposing your child to the water early allows them to progress quickly as they mature and develop physically. These lessons are enjoyable, stress-free, educational and a good source of exercise for children and parents.Lifeguards are always on the pool deck during swim classes and an instructor will be teaching the classes.  Children must wear a swim diaper and parents must accompany the child in the water.Class are held at the same time as group swim lessons.The class is limited to 8 participants and their parents.

Registration will be posted on the 1st of each month if lessons are running.Our Learn to Swim Program provides a maximum learning environment for all participants. Swim Lesson Level DescriptionsLevel 1 - Water Exploration Children may not be excited about getting in the water, some maybe fearful others will separate easily from parents. Can follow directions but often need understanding and encouragement. Level 2 - Primary Skills Children are beyond “water adjustment”, they are comfortable in the water and may be swimming 4 or 5 feet without floatation. Will learn to reach & pull, put their face in the water, float and propel themselves through the water on their backs and stomachs. Level 3 – Stroke Readiness Children swim and float and are comfortable on top of and under water, they are ready to learn proper breathing technique (rotary breathing) and learn basic strokes such as front crawl, back crawl and begin elementary back stroke. Level 4 - Stroke Development Children are prepared to refine the basic skills they were taught in Level 3 and are introduced to more sophisticated skills such as breast stroke and standing dives.Level 5 - Stroke Refinement Children are ready to build up endurance and refine strokes and skills taught in level 4. They will learn skills such as Butterfly, flip-turns, and competitive starts.

10:00 AM - 10:25 PM    Summer D.A.Y.S. (Daytime Activities and Youth Sports) - 2025 - Week 7 - Swim Lessons
Choose a week or many and relax while your children will enjoy a well supervised, friendly atmosphere, where participants enjoy every Tuesday at the Town Beach (weather permitting) and will include a lunch.  Every week experience a field trip. Every Monday morning there will be a swim test to determine children's skill level for afternoon free swim every Monday/Wednesday & Friday at the pool. Swim Lessons will be offered on Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays for an additional fee for Weeks 3-7. Participants will pass the days away playing games, visit the local playground, participate in daily crafts or playing structured sports. Space is limited. NO registrations are complete until the Field Trip & Medical Form listed below under links is printed, completed, signed and on file at the recreation department office. The form may be brought in during our office hours, mailed or dropped off thru our drop slot located on our side door.
