This program is about improving one's stroke techniques. Swimmers should have completed American Red Cross swim level 4 or 5 and be able to swim the length of the pool continuously without stopping.
The clinic is broken down into 6 separate weeks each with its own focus on specific skills. There will be some overlap between certain weeks as skills are built upon each other, but swimmers can enter the clinic week by week based on their availability and needs. The following is a breakdown week by week of what skills swimmers will work on.
Week 1: Freestyle and Backstroke Focused
Swimmers will work on flutter kicking and flip turns.
Week 2: Breaststroke and Butterfly Focused
Swimmers will work on breaststroke kick, dolphin kick, and open turns.
Week 3: Race Skills Focused
Swimmers will work on under waters, breakouts, starts, and turns.
Week 4: Freestyle and Backstroke Focused
