9:00 AM - 10:15 AM    Archery Classes - Kids Archery - Summer 2025 - One Day - Session I
Archery Classes Archery is an incredibly fun and rewarding sport. While the basics can be learned quickly, true proficiency requires effort, focus, and practice. The first day of lessons will focus on understanding and practicing the steps of NTS (The National Training System). This system provides a strong foundation for safe and effective movement with the bow, covering everything from a solid stance to a steady head, a stable anchor to a well-aimed arrow flying true to its mark. Participants will learn the same fundamental movements as Olympic archers, using an Olympic-style takedown recurve bow. We will start with barebow shooting, meaning without the additional attachments used in Olympic-style archery, allowing archers to focus on core technique and control. Along the way, we can explore how these same movements apply to bows with Olympic-style attachments as well as compound bows.Try Archery (One Day) Try Archery a one day program and is for anyone age 9+ to adult who wants to participate in the sport of archery. This is a beginner series for new archers to learn range safety and basic shooting skills. Please feel free to bring a chair, water, and healthy snacks.
