Tiny Twirlers/Introduction to Baton Twirling - This introduction to baton twirling will be a great way for your little one to learn basic twirling skills. Come and learn some basic tricks, play games & have fun! Baton twirling is an excellent way of developing hand-eye coordination, rhythm, timing, endurance, self discipline, and overall total body coordination. Baton twirling is a sport that brings so many positives to our lives such as physical fitness, flexibility, friendship and so much more. Competitive Twirling Clinic - This three day mini-clinic will be a great way for your child to learn twirling skills or to strengthen the twirling skills they have already achieved. Come and learn new tricks, play games and have fun! Many fun twirling activities are planned for this clinic.
 
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Raines Development - Basketball-week 1
These programs are open to Boys entering 4th - 6th grade.Soccer: These sessions will be centered around specific fundamentals such as dribbling/ball control, first touch, passing, shooting, and defending. In the process of completing these drills, athletes will learn more about fitness and how important it is as you advance to new levels of the sport. A series of drills used by Coach Raines at the Junior Varsity level at BHS will be used to help enhance the skills of participants. NEEDS: Participants should bring water, soccer cleats (flat shoes if forced to be indoors due to weather), and a soccer ball (if they have their own). Basketball: There will be many different skill development drills used in these sessions to work on shooting, dribbling, passing, and defending. An emphasis on form/technique and getting as many high-quality repetitions as possible will be a priority. Footwork will be another focal point, as having good footwork can help athletes standout amongst their competitors. Different types of finishing/layup drills will be used to help develop shot-making ability and footwork.NEEDS: Participants should bring water, basketball shoes (sneakers are totally fine), and a basketball (if they have their own).

Moderate Mindful Yoga with Kerry Come join yoga with mindfulness practices such as short mediation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation. Classes are formatted to include 50 to 55 minutes of flowing yoga poses that will incorporate attention to breath, awareness of alignment, and finding your personal balance between strength and flexibility in addition to mindfulness practices. Class will end or begin with a short breathing practice or mediation. The last class of a session includes a 30+ minute deep relaxation (also known as yoga nidra) in addition to movement. Modifications and alternative poses will also be offered. Please bring your own yoga mats.There is a change in location for Tuesday Yoga.  Starting, Tues. Dec. 2, class will be held on C Side Common.   If Swift River School has early dismissal or is closed for the day, due to inclement weather, class will be cancelled for that evening. If Swift River School has a delayed opening, class is held. Ashtanga Inspired Yoga with CAAshtanga is an energetic yoga that focuses on synchronizing breath with movements, and building strength, flexibility and body awareness. Individual poses are presented in a sequence and are linked by flowing movements which will warm the body inviting deeper exploration of the practice. These sessions will begin with modifications accessible to all, and will build from there allowing each practitioner to explore their own expression of each posture.Vinyasa with BrentVinyasa is one of the most common styles of yoga practiced in the West. Vinyasa is a term used to describe continuous or dynamic movements between yoga poses. This flow of movement is excellent for getting your heart rate going and working up a sweat. Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus.  Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks and water.  Some mats and blocks will be available.Puppy Yoga with BrentPuppy Empowered Vinyasa with Brent!  This dynamic style of yoga has been playfully reimagined to include adorable Pomeranian puppies that will join you in your flow.  Vinyasa, meaning continuous movement between poses, is now puppy-infused fun! As you transition between poses, playful puppies (and will be there to brighten your practice and maybe even snuggle up beside you.  This flow of movement is perfect for getting your heart rate up, working up a sweat, and enjoying quality time with furry friends. Puppy Empowered Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus - all while giggling at puppy antics! *All Levels Welcome!* Whether you're a seasoned yogi or just starting out, this class is perfect for you.
