The Running Club is designed for all runners with no prior experience needed. This program offers proper stretching and breathing techniques to safely run at the beginner level. The kids will participate in warm up activities, level appropriate training to learn endurance and pace, discussions about the benefits of and joys physical activity, specifically running as a lifelong sport. We will also discuss sportsmanship, positive mindset, empowerment, and motivation. Everyone will need to come to practice with comfortable attire, sneakers, and a water bottle. A healthy snack for after school is highly recommended.
This program will be held at the Belchertown high school indoor track.
Children will need a note from home to stay after school and gather in the school pickup area where the instructor will be located.
Parent pick up will be at the high school track located in the high school gym unless otherwise notified.
